Youtube Tutorial: New Years Smokey Eye

Hellooooooooo!

So, firstly, let me answer the what, where and why. I got tons of messages (to my surprise) asking WHAT happened to me, WHERE I disappeared to and WHY?!? Basically, the last time I post a video on youtube was on May 1st 2011 and since then I was really busy with work and honestly, I lost motivation to do any sort of youtube videos. BUT I recently found that I missed it so much, so I went onto my channel to check it out and I realised I had loads of messages asking me what had happened to me and I had loads of requests as well.

So I figured, since I missed youtube, and since you guys missed me, I decided this was a good time to come back... and here's my tutorial!

As I mentioned in the video, I got quite a few requests for party/glam looks and with New Years right round the corner I figured it would be a good time to upload a look that fit those requests.

PRODUCTS I USED

EYES:
- Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion
- MAC Paint Pot Bare Study
- Urban Decay Naked Palette - Gunmetal, Creep
- MAC Eyeshadow - Carbon, Contrast, Espresso, Bisque
- MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack
- MAC Eye Kohl - Blooz
- Eylure Naturalites False Eyelashes #100

(for eyebrows I used MAC Fluidline - Dipdown)

FACE:
- Nivea Face Moisturiser
- MAC Studio Fix Fooundation SPF15 - NC42
- MAC Blush - Darkly My Dear (Limited edition)

LIPS:
- Nivea Lip Balm - Pure and Simple Milk and Honey
- MAC Lip Pencil - Burgundy
- Urban Decay Pocket Rocket - Eric (red)
*As mentioned in the video, most lip colours will suit this look since the eye look is your standard smokey eye. Just remember to keep your cheeks natural ;)

FTC Disclaimer: All products mentioned in this video were purchased with my own money. Opinions on any of the products, if any, are 100% my own. I am not affiliated with any of the companies to make said products.

Youtube Tutorial - Katy Perry Inspired

Howdy!

So, this look was requested by a friend of mine, who would probably be able to pull off this look way better than I can and/or ever could, but it was requested, so I did it =]

Request: To recreate the make up look that Katy Perry wore in her 'Thinking of you' video.

The look is pretty much a classic 50s pin-up girl look and I actually do really like it.  I've never really defined my eyebrows as well as I did in this look and I really like it, so maybe that's a keeper. I love the lip colour as well. The colour Katy Perry wears is a deeper, darker, richer shade of red compared to the normal bright red lips associated with the classic 50s pin-up girl look. The eye look however, is pretty much what you would create for that same pin-up girl look.

I will soon be recording my foundation routine that I used to create flawless looking skin for this look, so keep a look out for the link here sometime soon (and obviously also a blog post linked to the actual tutorial lol).

Here's a list of all the products I used (including the producs I used for my foundation routine):
EYES:
-Two Faced Shadow Insurance
- White Shimmer Powder (This isn't any particular brand but you want to use a shimmery eyeshadow that's similar. Barry M is an affordable brand that's available at drugstores and can provide you with great dupes!)
- MAC Matte Eyeshadow - Wedge (use a colour that's slightly darker than your skin tone to define your crease)
- Collection 2000 Pressed Powder - 02 Tender Touch
- MAC Fluidline - Blacktrack
- MAC Matte Eyeshadow - Carbon
- E.L.F Studio Eyebrow Kit - Dark

LIPS:
- Barry M Lip Liner - LL6 Chocolate
- Barry M Lip Liner - LL3 Red
- MAC Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo

FACE:
- Astral All Over Moisturiser
- Bobby Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 - #5 Honey
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer
- GOSH Pressed Powder #3 Warm Sand
- GOSH Natural Blush - 39 Electric Pink

Miscellaneous: What to do?!?

Hey guys!

If you're a loyal subscriber of mine, you've probably noticed that I haven't really been doing tutorials that much recently.

And I'm sorry... but the main reason for this is that I simply just do not know what kind of tutorials you guys want. Basically, I'm kind of asking for requests... but I'm also asking you to tell me what you really like on my channel, and what you'd like to see more of... coz I'm running out of ideas fast!

I will be putting up a few tutorials using the products that I bought from the 'To The Beach' collection by MAC, and maybe a couple more with the products from the Prêt-à-Papier collection but what else do you guys wanna see?

What colours? -- Day looks? -- Night time/going looks? -- Everyday/quick-to-get-ready makeup?

And it doesn't have to stop at tutorials... would you like to see a review on anything? Or any other ideas? Tags? Anything else?

Please please let me know!

You can either comment on here, or on my youtube profile... you can message me there to. Regarding requesting for reviews: you can, again, comment or message me and I'll let you know if I have the product or not. If I don't, I'll try and buy it and if I can't buy it I'll be sure to let you know. Either way, I'll respond to your request in the best way I possibly can and as fast as possible!

Thanking you all in advance... I look forward to reading some of your ideas and requests =D

Thanks for reading,

Chanel
