YouTube Tutorial - The Blooz

Hey guys

I've had loads of requests over the past few years since I've been on youtube, to do a tutorial using blue eyeshadow. I've done one or two using navy but never anything much like this look.

Here are some tips when attempting to pull of blue eyeshadow:
- Find the right shade that suits you. If you're confident with wearing colour then you could probably wear any blue and look great, but for those who aren't so confident with bright, bold colours wear the paler shades. Pale blue is a beautiful shade of blue for any skintone. For those who like dark eyes, use the navy blues.
- Always pair with an earth-toned eyeshadow. Taupes, greys and blacks are perfect with blue. I did use navy blue in this look to add a little bit of depth to the outer-v. Never match a light blue with a conflicting shade of blue though.
- Keep your cheeks and lips nude and natural as you possibly can. This applies to most vibrant eye make up - if you want to keep the attention to the eyes don't pair them with a bright, bold lipstick. It WILL look silly.

So with those tips in hand, here's a look for you to try:

List of products:
EYES:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24HR - #55 Immortal Charcoal
- Barry M Fine Glitter Dust - #5 and #27

Youtube Tutorial - Seven Deadly Sins Series - Sloth

Hey guys!

So, finally I have managed to film and upload another tutorial and FINALLY it is another addition to my seven deadly sins series. The main reason I've taken so long in doing this is purely because inspiration took ages to hit me, and I'm not a very artsy person, so it is difficult for me to come up with these things. Never-the-less, it is here, and this one it SLOTH! =]

Products I used:

EYES:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- Barry M Kohl Pencil - KP11 Silver
- Barry M Dazzle Dusts - DD23 and DD10
- MAC Superslick Liquid Eyeliner - Signature Blue
- MAC Fluidline Eyeliner - Blacktrack
- MAC Eyeshadows - Wedge, Sand & Sun
- Maybelline Falsies Mascara
- Naturalites False Eyelashes - #101

FACE:
- Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation SPF15 - #5 Honey
- MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer - NW35
- MAC Blush - Melba
- Star Gazer White Body Glitter (I bought this from a fancy dress/party store)
- Pale Blue feathers (I bought these from a craft store)

LIPS:
- Barry M Lip Pencil - LP6
- Barry M Lip Paint - 136
- MAC Lipglass - Best of Breed

I used Duo Adhesive glue to stick on the false eyelashes and the feathers. Make sure you use a glue that your skin will not react badly to. i.e. if you know you're allergic to latex don't use the blue duo adhesive, use the red one. Other than that, any other glue that is suitable to stick things onto your skin is good enough to use.

Do leave feedback on what you think of the whole look =]

Yet another make up tutorial today, and this one's a LOT more 'dressier' than some of my other recent ones. But hey, you gotta mix it up right? Hehe

This is the look that I wore on my birthday to go out with a couple of friends for dinner and drinks. I really hope you guys like this look - personally I LOVE it. Thought I probably love it so much because I lurrrrrrrrve purples and blues together and I'm addicted to navy at the moment - it seems to be a very popular colour this year for autumn/winter.

Youtube tutorial - Spiced Neutral - Using Urban Decay Naked Palette

I know the Urban Decay Naked Palette is all about being neutral and natural with your eye make up, but what's the harm in spicing it up by adding some bright eyeliner and bold lips? ... Well, personally I don't think there's any harm in it! ;)

This is the look that I was wearing in my contest video and it was requested - along with a bunch of other looks using the Naked Palette. I figured this was a good place to start since I used the Naked Palette. But there will be plenty more tutorials using the Naked Palette, so if you don't like this one because it's too "un-neutral" for you then keep your eyes open for those!

You can however, just simply use exactly the same eye shadows from the palette and instead of using the blue eyeliner use a black or brown one to actually keep it neutral... and then go with pastel pink/peachy cheeks and lips! Perfect for school!

Youtube Tutorial - Mint Contrast (Green and Navy Blue)

Hey guys!

I mentioned in my August Favourites video that I would do a tutorial using the Barry M Dazzle Dust in Mint Green, so here it is. Apologies for the horrible pictures, but you may have to put up with that quality for a while until I either get my camera sorted or just simply get a new one.

Before I purchased the MAC eye shadow in Contrast, I tried this look with black and that works just as well, but I'm fed up with using so much black so I went for navy blue instead. And the blue goes so well with the green, which is great!

2. MAC Paint Pot - Painterly
3. Barry M Dazzle Dust - DD82 Mint Green

7. Barry M Kohl Pencil - KP1 Black
8. E.L.F Studio Eyebrow kit - Dark
9. L'oreal Double Extension Mascara - Renewal Serum Mascara

LIPS:
1. Barry M Lip Liner - LL6 Chocolate

Haul - Barry M

Hey guys!

I've been such a huge fan of Barry M, especially their dazzle dusts and fine glitter dusts, for as long as I can remember. So when I heard that they had released four new dazzle dusts I headed straight down to my local superdrug and had a good ol' look at them!

The four new dazzle dusts, numbered 99 through to 102 are gorgeous and I managed to get my hands on three of them (sadly superdrug was out of DD101 Buff), which is a slight shame but I will be going back or maybe to a different branch to try and get my hands on DD101 Buff hehe.

Along with purchasing three of the new beauties, I picked up DD98 as well, which is petrol black. Here are some pictures and my initial thoughts:

Clockwise:
DD98 - Petrol Black
DD99 - Bright Indigo
DD100 - Brass
DD102 - Burgundy Noir

DD98 Petrol Black - Black based dazzle dust with blue/green shimmer.

In my opinion: I love this colour! It slightly reminds me of Oil Slick by Urban Decay with the difference that the shimmer is blue/green in colour and not boring old white/silver. I think this dazzle dust would make any eyes REALLY dazzle ;)

DD99 Bright Indigo - Bold, dark purple.

In my opinion: A pretty flat colour as there isn't any shimmer, so I don't really know how I feel about this one just yet. I love purples in general so I knew I had to pick it up, but until I try this on my eyes I can't tell you how much I like it. I do however, think it will spice up a purple smokey eye - or even if you choose to wear this dazzle dust with a gold colours. I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun playing around with this one!

DD100 Brass - Dark bronze. (VERY similar to DD45)

In my opinion: Strangely, unlike the other two dazzle dusts (DD99 Bright Indigo and DD102 Burgundy Noir) I've managed to see up close (and not just on the website*) this one is probably the least original and also the one I least like. I wasn't too sure about purchasing this one at first because I thought it was a very similar colour to DD45 Bronze, and I was right, but for some reason I just couldn't part with it. On the other hand, after bringing it home and having a proper think about it, I'm slightly glad that I did still buy it because I think it would go great with both Bright Indigo and Burgundy Noir.

*The pictures of the products on the website do not hold close resemblance to the true colours. My advice would be that if you seem interested in any of these then do go down to your local superdrug store, if you can. However, some of the dazzle dusts are not available in superdrug and therefore are only available to purchase via the website.

DD102 Burgundy Noir - True burgundy dazzle dust with gold and pink shimmer.

In my opinion: This is definitley my favourite dazzle dust out of all the new ones. It's just such a beautiful colour and the gold shimmer running through it makes it an even better colour to wear with most of the original dazzle dusts (DD38 Beige, DD39 Tan, DD49 Fawn etc), while the pink shimmer allows you to be able to wear this dazzle dust with pretty much any pink eyeshadow you can think of! I'm so happy I bought this and cannot wait to use it! It also reminds me of arabic/bollywood make up!

If you have any further questions on any of the products mentioned here today, please feel free to ask.
If you've bought any of these as well then I'd love to hear your thoughts on them - which one's your favourite?
