A review: LUSH Bathos Bubble Bar

I have had probably one of the longest weeks ever... they say time goes fast when you're preoccupied but it really doesn't when you actually WANT it to go fast!! I've been up earliest at 5:30am every morning to get into work for 8am, or I've been up at 6am to get into uni for 9am lectures!! I used to do it 5 days a week back when I was at school - I honestly don't know how I did it!

So, after a very tiring week I came home today and decided to run myself a lovely hot bath with the Bathos Bubble Bar from LUSH. It was my first time trying it, but I was looking forward to it. The saleswoman at lush said it was great to relieve stress and relax your muscles because there's loads of jasmine, lavender and ylang ylang in it.

She was right to say so - the minute I crumbled it into the bath all the scents were released and it was amazing! I looooooooooooooove the smell of this bubble bar - I think it's one of my favourite scents, along with the creamy candy bubble bar/rockstar soap and the karma bubble bar too =]

Once I stepped into the water, I felt instantly relaxed and the scents of Bathos truly helped me to just forget everything and slip into my own little world for a little while where everything was stress free [hehe]

SO! Five stars for the Bathos Bubble Bar, and I strongly reccomend it to anyone who gets stressed easily and especially anyone who's got exams round the corner. It helps! Trust me! ... This week I'm truly exhausted and I'm forcing my eyes to stay open til the end of this blog post! Lol

This week has been SUCH a mad week! I think, for me, this week is the ultimate definition of hard-work!!

Monday I didn't have uni so I decided to stay home ALL day to get some studying and coursework done... so I did! I revised hard and finished the coursework - only to be told that we had been given an extension. That annoyed me. Don't you just hate it when that happens? No? lol... But at the same time I was happy that it was done and dusted so I didn't have to worry about it!

Tuesday I stayed in all day again and got another piece of coursework ... half finished... coz it bored me after a while haha... That so isn't a good excuse but it is certainly the truth =P

Wednesday I started work! =D Yay me! hehe... it was a lot of fun, I must admit. Especially working behind the till! Having said that, I have never been so confused as to what buttons to press EVER in my life before! The supervisor soooo kindly showed me all the buttons and how they related to all the products but there was just so much to take in! Looool! So whenever a customer wanted to buy something, and I didn't know what it was listed under on the till I had to call for help - but everyone I work with are such nice people. Like literally, I thought nice people were a minority until I met my colleagues (oooo look at me, I have colleagues now HAHA) ... Wednesday was just a trial run, but I got my uniform, which is literally a black polo shirt that says STAFF on it under the logo of where I work. All in all I really enjoyed myself - and I officially start working shifts on the 29th of March! Woohoo! =D

Thursday I had uni, but a very very long day at uni! I was up at like, 5am, studying for my exam that morning and didn't get home from uni 'til 9pm! So it was a very long and tiring day.

And last but not least, today (Friday) has probably been the worst day this week. Even above the long hours and forgetting buttons and not getting enough sleep because of the late nights and early mornings, today was hurrendous! Firstly, it was one of those days where you wake up happy, thinking something good is gonna come out of the day and then it gets progressively worse. You know the kinda days I'm on about? ... It's like those days where you wake up and see the sun shining with all it's glory and then the minute you step out your front door it starts raining like there's been drought for the last decade or so! You know? ... THEN I went into uni and lectures were massively boring, so I decided to slip away early hehe ;) ... and for the rest of the day people, in general, have just been adgetating me.

It's just like, you know when you've been nothing but nice to a person, and they've realised that so they start to take advantage of it? And then you feel bad to say something because it may come across mean and you kinda don't want to ruin your 'image'? ... That and the amount of hypocrites in this world just aggravates me! Lol

And to top it ALL off, even though I have a job now, I am still broke! Lol... Can't wait 'til I get my first pay cheque so I can just go celebrate - even though it'll just mean I'm broke again... but it's all for a good cause ;) haha - And I have blisters on my feet, and I got a splinter in my thumb yesterday lol... what next? xD

Anyway, I got to relax tonight - Thank God! Had a lovely bubble bath with the LUSH Creamy Candy Bubble Bar [So keep your peepers open for that review ;)] and listened to some amaaaaaaazing Jose Gonzales to calm me down and keep mind and body nice and relaxed hehe!

Magic Mushroom Bath

The Magic Mushroom Bubble Bar was released by LUSH Cosmetics as part of their Valentines Day collection. Now, I don't know what the relationship between the mushroom and valentines day is, but honestly I don't really care!

I first decided on buying it whilst browsing online, and when I got to the store and smelt it, I knew I had to buy it! It cost around £2 ... not much for a product that you can get at least three baths out of, if not FOUR!!!

First Impressions:

I thought the design was cute - again didn't see the resemblance between mushrooms and Valentines day, and I still don't. However, the design is original and new! It's really quite refreshing to see something other than the traditional hearts and cupid bows everywhere!

Moving onto what everyone REALLY loves LUSH for and that's the smell! This mushroom has all the lovely smelling goodness that a real mushroom does NOT have - a strong smell of vanilla comes through when you smell it as a solid product before you use it - but there's a nice suprise once you crumble it into the water.

And last but not least, as very briefly stated before, this product costs around £2 (I can't remember the actual price) and it should last you about 3/4 baths! Remember: You don't have to use the whole product to get the bubbles - you'll be suprised at what a small little bit can do!

Using it:
I first broke of the stalk bit of the mushroom (the white bit at the bottom) and used that for my first bath. As it crumbled and landed in the water, bubbles instantly began to form. After a while, (as with any of the Bubble Bars) there were millions and millions of luscious, frothy bubbles!

The second time I used it, I split the top of the mushroom (the head of the mushroom/the red bit) and crumbled that into the water. This time, not only did bubbles appear instantly, it also turned the water a red colour. Which I guess is quite gruesome to some people, but I enjoyed bathing in water that wasn't boringly colourless and prior to the contrary, didn't look like blood (suprisingly).

I also found that a tiny bit of lavender came through the vanilla scent (but that might just be me)

Overall, I thought this product was AMAZING and it's ashame that it was just out on LUSH's shelves for Valentines Day but hey, at least this way I have something to look forward to next year! ;)
